A religious building discovered several hundred years ago by
a shepherd who, having seen the Virgin Mary, was cured of his
disability. At the beginning of the 20thC it was a cult centre
claiming to cure persons who had been ‘Demonized’.

The capital and most populated town in the Maestrazgo
(600 inhabitants) and famous for having been the HQ
the Carlist General, Ramon Cabrera, in the early 19thC.

Together with our guide we will visit the various monuments which will include the unique town hall chambers together with the archives chamber and its files on the history of this special town.

12:15 Arr. LINARES DE MORA (alt. 4,300m / Pop. 274)

Of Moorish background, liberated in 1202 by Pedro II. The
church contained two important treasures saved from their
various marauders. The population is sadly decreasing and at
this moment numbers less than 300 inhabitants.

Then we shall assemble in the
community hall (close by) for display by a National Dance
Group from nearby Mora de Rubielos (in costume).

10:50 Visit the ORGANOS DE MONTORO (Aragon)



An impressive natural rock formation that, when the wind is in
the right quarter, claims to play music. An interesting area to
observe eagles and vultures in their natural habitat.

A most important historical building as it was originally a
factory for producing the first continuous rolls of paper, in
Europe, for the manufacture of currency.





13:10 Arr. TRONCHON [ Alt. 3,596m / Pop. 82 ]

A small, seemingly isolated, village with a history of
manufacturing hats, ceramics and above all the cheese that
is mentioned in Cervantes Don Quixote some five hundred
years ago.
